The Authorities don’t like us do they?
So Cup v Newport.
Tickets in home areas on restricted sale on the Wednesday. It was advertised they would go on general sale on-line on the Thursday.
Come Thursday that’s become no general sale on-line, telephone and personal callers only. Why I asked “due to security concerns” was the answer I was given.
Oxford - right up to Friday last week their website said account holders, and stub holders first and then general sale from Monday 16th, either at the ticket office or online.
Tried several times yesterday using online, it lets you select a seat but at checkout you get a newly registered client error and blocked out.
So I drove to their ticket office today. Turns out the game is no longer general sale. It’s a database only game. To buy in home areas you have to have a ticket purchase history at OUFC or have been registered on their database on Aug 13th.
So general sale has quietly been dropped again.
The nice lady in the ticket wasn’t saying why it had changed but did admit that conditions HAD been changed.
There’s loads of tickets left - why in this day and age is it so bloody hard to get into a game.

Oh and if anyone’s got a spare WHU section ticket or OUFC account I could borrow please.

I’m with you, but at the same time I don’t agree with away fans in our home end, although if they sit there and behave (which I’m sure you would) nobody is really any the wiser.

Our reputation will always go against us, although it would be interesting to know if them and Newport would have had the same policy if they hadn’t been playing us.

Hahaha.
And that you’ve come all the way from a ‘war-
torn’ country to see the game and will be persecuted if you ever go back.

Write to them, say you identify as 'They' or any of the other 100 genders available and say you've been discriminated against. They say no, go to the press.
